Vertical fluting is carved into the alabaster shade, so the lit stone breaks into fine ribs of light and shadow instead of one flat glow. The shade sits on a low brass ring base with a twisted fabric cord. At 7 inches tall this is the compact one in the range — it works on a crowded nightstand, a side table beside a sofa, or a shelf where a full-height lamp would be too much. Plug-in with the cord included, offered in eight metal finishes. Each shade is carved from natural alabaster, so no two share the same veining.
